| “My doctor gave me six months to live, but when I couldn't pay the bill he gave me six months more.” | |
Is it not a scary thing that we put our lives in to the hands of these... "practiced" beings? Yet, we risk our lives, in order to save our lives. The advance of medical technology and methods has greatly benefited our society. More people are living. But, more people are dying. Which, is only obvious considering the expansion of our population as inhabitants of this Earth. What a curious concept, the desperate fling of life into someone else's hands in order to perhaps... get it back in better shape. Not knowing how long or how much it will take to penetrate the mortal delicacy. Or the amount needed to persuade the officiator to precisely identify a solution. Whether or not this daunts, it sure does nothing to keep the average citizen from seeking the "professional's" opinion. So. Give your life. Maybe get it back. Then again, save your own life. |
