There is definitely. No.Such.Thing. As. Luck. The word luck suggests that an occurance is lacking in meaning. It can be defined as the state of your life's conditions, your circumstances, or anything that happens to you in general.   As to when you say "Good luck!" First of all, if you are saying that to anyone it is probably because you think they need it. Obviously you are not certain that they can accomplish whatever it is they are needing luck for. Otherwise it would be unnecessary. That brings out the idea that their situation is beyond their control, or a lack of their preparation. So you are superficially telling them that you hope that by a random chance they get more than they deserve. Ha. How quaint. Well you say, if we do not deserve things that come by "chance" why do we get more than we deserve? Only by the grace and mercy of Father in heaven who loves us and blesses us according to his just ways. Naw, luck is not for me. I prefer the "work hard and do my best, and reap what I sow" concept. I just can not believe that any coincidence has no meaning. Because there is a PLAN. Established by our loving Heavenly Father who knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what is best for us, who will best benefit our lives,  how best we can grow to become the great beings we have the potential to be. His plan is so perfect, and even though I may not understand everything I know that He does. I do not need luck. I have God on my side.

Is not that sweet? It made me smile :] There is something precious about little girls. We were in 1318 Wednesday, and I was looking at the adorable little girl shoes. They are just so precious! So then I was thinking, inside all of us women there is a little girl. We all have been given a divine nature and are on our way to Motherhood. I am so grateful for my mother and everything she has done for me. My mother has been so good to me. Someday, I want to grow up to be just like her. I hope someday I can express to her my love and how happy I am that she is my mother.  I hope that when the day comes that I have my own little girl, I can be a great mother in tribute to my own, beautiful, wonderful, mother dear. I love you Mom. <3

We watched this really interesting video today.  It is amazing to realize that everyone has a life of their own, their own struggles, their own triumphs. If only we could all realize that, I think we would treat others differently. Though we may not be able to change someone's life, there is always something we can do. We can see the world around us and everyone in it through open eyes. We may never understand exactly what they are going through, but there is someone who does. So let's leave the judging up to Him.

I've always enjoyed dancing. But, I have NEVER been good at it. I guess you could say I developed my own style, which basically consists of goofing off. My friends and I loved rockin' out at dances; I would come home with huge blister on both feet/ toes. I took a dance class my Junior year, which was quite fun, especially with Rylee Skoy, whom I became fast friends with. Then, here up at BYU-I my lovely roommate Shannon got me to come country dancing, and I have been going with her every Wednesday night. It is a blast! Even though I am not good at all, and half the time I am tripping over my feet or my partner is having to tell me how to move them. We have met some fabulous people! I just have to say that I love dancing :) I think everyone should dance, no matter how good or bad at it you are. It is just delightful. Tonight we are going to try out Latin dancing!

This is a picture I took this summer at Shoshone Falls. Sometimes I see things like this, and can not help but stare, thinking, "how could I ever live up to be worthy of all the beauty God has given us?" Recently, something that has been recurring in my mind is the desire to act, rather than be acted upon. Since we all have free agency, we are the ones responsible for our destiny. It has really hit me lately that this life is such a gift. I have a burning desire to take advantage of every opportunity, for opportunities can never be regained. I want to feel in control of my life. There are times when I let things that I can not control affect me, more than they should. I hereby take charge, to do all I can to reach my ultimate destination, Eternal Happiness.

:) I love my mother. She is the most fabulous person I know, and has always inspired me to be a better person. I am so thankful that I can say my mother is one of my very best friends. Hearing others say otherwise about their own mothers makes me very sad. If I could not tell my mother everything, I would be lost! My mother is the reason I am who I am today. I love you mom. ~Dreams~

I love this quote. Dreams have always fascinated me. I believe that our minds have more power then we can ever behold. "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." To me, a dream is a reflection of the power that is inside me. Though I may not know how to access it, sometimes it leaks through my subconscious state. Also, since I genetically do not have a regular sleeping cycle, dreams have become a precious and rare thing to me. They are sometimes a way to get to know myself. I am always disappointed to forget my dreams. I wish sometimes that I could record them and watch them until I figure out what I am supposed to learn. It seems to me that dreams, unlike books, never have an ending. Yes, I wake up and the dream is over. But since when has anyone woken up AFTER a dream ends? Sometimes, I try to plan my dreams. That doesn't ever work. My dreams are basically an inner reality, that can only exist in that certain state between the levels of my mind. I recall dreams from my childhood that still make me smile. Dreams can seem so real, and then are usually interrupted. When reality is finally better than my dreams, I will be at a most wonderous stage of my life. I look forward, day after day, to discovering my dreams.
